The Medical Professional Student Association (HMPD), in collaboration with the 2016 (Neonate) class, held a fundraiser. The money collected will be used to purchase food for breaking the fast for those in need. This fundraiser was held from April 17, 2021, to April 22, 2021. The distribution of food for breaking the fast was carried out on April 23, 2021. This fundraiser was carried out because it coincided with Ramadan this year and the COVID-19 pandemic. This event was held to at least help those in need during this pandemic. Although the 2016 class has entered the professional stage where activities at the Hospital are quite busy, it is hoped that professional students can still take the time to share with others.
The money collected in the 5-day fundraising campaign was Rp. 4,785,000. This money will be used to purchase iftar meals for those in need. The food distribution was carried out in two stages. The first stage was carried out on Friday, April 23, 2021. In this stage, 180 food boxes were distributed for iftar. Professional students were divided into several groups which would later be spread across several areas to distribute the food. The food distribution began at 4:00 PM WIB and spread to several points, such as Selecta, Songgoriti, BNS, the Lippo Plaza Batu area, and Batu City Square. This food distribution was focused primarily on those truly in need, such as online motorcycle taxis, motorcycle taxis, pedicab drivers, and parking attendants. The food distribution was greeted with extraordinary enthusiasm. They were very happy when they received food to break their fast.
The second phase of food distribution took place on Sunday, April 25, 2021. This second phase differed from the first. In this second phase, food was distributed at the Children's Social Welfare Institution (LKSA). The food distribution took place at LKSA Al-Hidayah and LKSA Nurul Hidayah. In addition to distributing food for breaking the fast, food packages and cash were also provided at the two LKSAs. The food distribution in this second phase was carried out by representatives of several professional students from the class of 2016, a total of five representatives who gave to the LKSAs. The distribution began at 3:30 PM WIB. The first destination was LKSA Al-Hidayah and then LKSA Nurul Hidayah. The distribution of food for breaking the fast, food packages, and cash was carried out symbolically by the LKSA supervisor.
