Batu, January 15, 2024. The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences of the State Islamic University of Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang once again recorded a new history through the implementation of the 6th Period of Doctors' Oath Ceremony on Wednesday, January 15, 2025. This historic moment, held at the Auditorium of the Shelter House on the 4th floor of Campus 2 of UIN Malang, witnessed the birth of the largest generation of doctors in the history of the faculty with 37 young doctors ready to serve the community.

This solemn event was attended by a number of leaders and prominent health figures who have accompanied the journey of the young doctors, including Prof. Dr. dr. Yuyun Yueniwati, PW., M. Kes., Sp. Rad (K) as Dean of FKIK UIN Malang and her staff, Prof. Dr. dr. Bambang Pardjianto, Sp BP. RE (K), Aditya Prasaja, S.STP., M.AP as Representative of the Malang City Health Office, dr. Benny Marcel, Sp.OG (K) as representative of Karsa Husada Regional Hospital and his staff, dr. Rina Istarowati as Director of Malang City Hospital, and dr. Tutik Nur Kasiani, Sp.KJ as representative of Dr. Radjiman Wediodiningrat Lawang Mental Hospital, as well as Educators and Administrative Staff of FKIK UIN Malang.

In his remarks, Prof. Dr. dr. Yuyun congratulated all the doctors who had been sworn in, he expressed his gratitude to the alumni of FKIK UIN MALANG and hoped to produce new doctors who demonstrate the characteristics of ulul albab with 4 pillars of professional promise, namely Spiritual depth, Moral greatness, Breadth of knowledge, Professional maturity.

The event was filled with pride with the presence of three accomplished young doctors who achieved brilliant academic achievements. Dr. Risna Afiatur Rosyida led the way with the highest GPA (3.74), while Dr. Dwi Wahyu Utami demonstrated her excellence with the highest OSCE UKMPPD score (91.17). Dr. Meily Rahmalia Widjaya also achieved a special achievement, achieving the highest CBT UKMPPD score (90.66) and the highest cumulative UKMPPD score (89.53).

Facing the increasingly complex era of modern healthcare services, Dr. Benny Marcel, Sp.OG (K) in his remarks emphasized the importance of professionalism and caution in medical practice. "In an era where society is increasingly critical, the quality of healthcare services must be the main priority of young doctors," he stressed. In line with this, the Head of the Batu City Health Office, Mr. Aditya Prasaja, S.STP.,M.AP reminded that the doctor's oath is not just a formal procession, but a real commitment to community service. He emphasized the importance of viewing health as a multidimensional issue that is closely related to social, economic, and community welfare aspects.

“"This is a historic moment for the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FKIK) of UIN Malang, with the largest number of graduates in the history of the Medical Profession Study Program," said Dr. Prida Ayudianti, Sp. KK. Chairperson of the Doctors' Oath Period VI. She expressed her hope that the young doctors would carry out their mandate as ulul albab doctors who are not only competent in the medical field, but also possess moral and spiritual integrity in accordance with the vision and mission of UIN Malang.

This oath-taking ceremony marks the beginning of the young doctors' journey to face the challenges of modern healthcare. Armed with the knowledge, professionalism, and values of traditional medicine (ulul albab) they have been instilled in them, they are expected to make a positive contribution to improving the quality of public health in Indonesia.

Dwi Wahyu Utami, the best OSCE graduate, humbly revealed his struggles during his education at the Faculty of Medicine. “"I never thought about being the best. Just being able to survive is already a blessing. But six years of study would be a huge waste if you don't put it to good use."” He said, "He's motivated to always complete everything to the best of his ability and understand what he's doing.".

Dwi Wahyu Utami also made BJ Habibie's words his life principle: “"It's no use having a high IQ but being lazy and undisciplined."” He expressed his gratitude to the lecturers and doctors who had guided him. “"May the knowledge imparted be beneficial to many and become a continuing charity. Amen."” he said gratefully.
