Facing the dynamics of learning, the Medical Profession Study Program (Prodi) at the Faculty of Medicine and Public Health, State Islamic University of Malang (FKIK UIN Malang) is improving its professional curriculum. One effort to improve the curriculum's quality is through benchmarking with the Faculty of Medicine, Public Health, and Medicine, University of Gadjah Mada (FKKMK UGM). This curriculum benchmarking activity aims to compare curricula with other institutions and to learn from and implement positive aspects.
Taking place at the 6th Floor of the Radio Putro Building, FKKMK UGM on October 26-27, 2023, the group from FKIK UIN Malang was received by a representative of the Department of Medical Education, dr. Hikmawati Nurokhmanti, MSc, Sp.KKLP. The event began with a welcoming ceremony and introduction of the FKIK UIN Malang group by the Head of the Medical Profession study program, dr. Iwal Reza Ahdi, Sp. PD, followed by a presentation and question and answer session.

“"The professional curriculum is an integral part of the undergraduate curriculum. They must be aligned and mutually reinforcing. Therefore, both study programs need to collaborate and discuss the issues together," said Dr. Hikma.

On that occasion, Dr. Hikma also appreciated the enthusiasm of the unit team from the FKIK UIN Malang Professional Study Program in developing the curriculum and hoped that the FKIK UIN Malang Professional Study Program would continue to progress and develop.
