On Friday (June 24, 2022), the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FKIK) of UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang celebrated a Grand Thanksgiving (Tasyakuran Akbar) in conjunction with the Faculty's 4th Anniversary and a Grand Thanksgiving for the accreditation of the Medical Education Study Program and the Medical Profession Study Program. The reaccreditation of the Medical Profession Study Program has now received a "Good" accreditation. This reaccreditation is a gift for the 6th Anniversary of the Faculty for FKIK UIN Malang.

The Head of the Medical Profession Study Program, Dr. Iwal Reza Ahdi, Sp. PD, said, "Thank you for the struggle, not only from us, the form team, but from the entire academic community team, starting from lecturers, students, IOM, heads of educational staff and all stakeholders including Karsa Husada Hospital, Batu City, Dr. Saiful Anwar Hospital, Malang City, Dr. Radjiman Wediodiningrat Lawang Mental Hospital, several community health centers in Batu City (Junrejo Community Health Center, Beji Community Health Center, Batu Community Health Center, Sisir Community Health Center, and Bumiaji Community Health Center), and the Surabaya Port Health Office (KKP).

Karsa Husada Hospital, Batu City, as the Main Teaching Hospital for the Medical Profession Study Program, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, UIN Malang, has made a significant contribution. As a Type B Provincial Hospital, it serves as a learning platform for professional education students. Karsa Husada Hospital, Batu City, has complete facilities and infrastructure, with teaching staff consisting of clinical educators, doctors who work at Karsa Husada Hospital, Batu City, and provide learning, from various departments, including internal medicine, pediatrics, surgery, and many others. Adequate facilities are also one of Karsa Husada Hospital's contributions in Batu City in supporting the accreditation value of the Medical Profession Study Program to obtain a "Good" accreditation result.

The Surabaya Port Health Office (KKP) is one of the agencies collaborating with the Medical Profession Study Program, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, State Islamic University of Malang, to support the Hajj Medicine program. The Hajj Medicine program is a strength of the Medical Profession Study Program and Faculty of Medicine, State Islamic University of Malang. Students are trained in pre-departure Hajj evaluations, pre-departure vaccinations, and Hajj embarkation health tests.

Furthermore, in line with the improved reaccreditation results, the Medical Profession Study Program plans to expand its clinical education facilities for students. However, the current focus of the Medical Profession Study Program remains on improving the quality of each clinical education facility, particularly at Karsa Husada Hospital in Batu City, the primary teaching hospital for the Medical Profession Study Program at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, UIN Malang.

The plan to graduate the first batch of doctors is also a hot topic for the Medical Profession Study Program. A total of 27 students will take the Medical Profession Program Student Competency Exam (UKMPPD). To that end, Dr. Iwal, Head of the Medical Profession Study Program, has developed several steps and strategies to graduate the first batch of doctors so they are ready to become doctors. The first step is preparing the students. After the first batch of students complete the final phase, Hajj Medicine, they will be directed to return to campus for further learning. This is done to support the UKMPPD preparation before the students finally graduate.

The second step is preparing the facilities and infrastructure. Facilities and infrastructure, such as the CBT Lab and OSCE Center, are crucial. The UKMPPD implementation committee will conduct a follow-up visit to assess the competency exam's readiness. The third step is preparing the teaching team. Clearly, the teaching team is a crucial component in supporting the UKMPPD implementation, ensuring students are better prepared for the material to be tested.
