Kamis (4/8/2022), menjadi hari yang mengharukan sekaligus berkesan bagi seluruh civitas akademika FKIK UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang. Betapa tidak, institusi ini harus rela melepas salah satu dosen senior nan sarat akan pengalaman, Dr. dr. Herry Darsim Gaffar, M.Kes yang telah memasuki masa purna tugas per Agustus 2022. Untuk mengapresiasi dedikasi beliau selama mengabdi, FKIK UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang menggelar acara Silaturrahim dan Pisah Kenang di Aula Serbaguna Gedung Ibnu Thufail. Acara ini dihadiri oleh segenap Pimpinan Fakultas, Prodi, Dosen dan Karyawan FKIK UIN Malang dan berlangsung dengan sederhana namun hangat dan penuh rasa kekeluargaan.
dr. Herry, begitu beliau biasa disapa, merupakan dosen senior yang telah membersamai FKIK UIN Malang sejak pertama kali dirintis. Dosen kelahiran 1957 ini sebelumnya pernah menjabat sebagai Kepala Dinas Kesehatan Kabupaten Gowa, Sulawesi Selatan. Selama mengabdi di FKIK UIN Malang, beliau mendedikasikan ilmu dan pengalaman khususnya dalam membangun Kedokteran Haji dan Kesehatan Masyarakat. “Sebagai dosen senior, beliau adalah pribadi yang sabar dan suka berbagi. Tiap bersama dr. Herry, saya selalu senang mendengarkan beliau bercerita. Hal itu yang pastinya akan senantiasa saya kenang”, ungkap dr. Dobby.
Dalam kesempatan ini, beberapa perwakilan dosen dan tendik turut menyampaikan kesan dan ucapan perpisahan kepada dr. Herry. Salah satu perwakilan dosen, yakni dr. Riskiyah juga sempat menyampaikan sebuah puisi meskipun sembari tak kuasa menahan haru. Selamat memasuki masa purna bakti, dokter. Semoga sukses dimanapun berada. Amin
